    Mahler (and Messiaen) on TTN

After Hatink's Mahler 7 a few nights ago, tomorrow (Saturday) night there is a broadcast of Mahler 8 conducted by Mark Elder with the Halle, BBC Philharmonic, etc, etc. It must have been broadcast previously but I can't remember anything at all about it.

Also on TTN the following Saturday (10th Dec) there is a broadcast of the Haitink/LSO 2009 Prom performance of Mahler 9.

By the way, does anyone know anything about the "archive" performance of Messiaen's Turangalila that is being broadcast in tonight's TTN, with Yvonne Loriod (piano), Jeanne Loriod (ondes martinot); Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Jean Fournet (conductor)?

That Turangalîla has been on TtN before. I have the mp2 but thanks for mentioning it. 320kbps aac might just offer a little more detail. As I recall, it was good, rather than stunningly good. Worth 'catching' anyway. I wonder what makropulos thinks of it?

There was a big box of Fournet live recordings on QDisc with Dutch radio broadcasts, and that has the same personnel, probably the same performance.
