    Lunchtime Concert

I think a word of praise is in order for the consistent excellence of the R3 Lunchtime Concert. Last week was particularly enjoyable for me, as it included Quartets and Trios by Haydn, Beethoven, Dvorak, Debussy, Ravel, Shostakovich and Schubert, played by the Pavel Hass Quartet, and the Vienna Piano Trio. Other items have also been singled out for praise - Barry Douglas, Nicola Benedetti and Sara Mingardo, to mention a few. Next week starts with the Emersons:

Live from Wigmore Hall in London, the Emerson Quartet performs Bach, Mozart and Beethoven.

and is followed by a song recital, a wind ensemble, and two more Quartets, the Navarro and the Escher.

Very much looking forward to tomorrow's Lunchtime Concert. To have the Haas and Belcea Quartets combine forces to play the Mendelssohn Octet promises to be a real treat.

Thanks Bryn. I shall certainly be there for the Octet, though it will probably be via iPlayer. Times (and names) have changed for Patrick.
Belated thanks Rob for your reply.

Might this be merged with the 'Lunchtime Concert One Stop Shop' thread?
