    Hotter and Quasthoff

I have just happened upon a marvellous YouTube clip from 1991 with Hans Hotter and Thomas Quasthoff. Hotter listens to the young Quasthoff in Nebensonnen and then we see Quasthoff obviously deeply moved as the 82-year-old master sings Der Leiermann for him.

        Wonderful artistry!

        Does anyone recognise the accompanist?

Oooh good call, Chris, I was led astray by that thatch of hair - could be indeed, given the date.

The last time I saw der wunder Vignoles he was in the grip of a bear hug from a delighted Robert Holl after their concert at Wigmore Hall

Fabulous. But not RV, I don't think. Someone German, more like.
