Thanks, I shall certainly listen to the Rach no 3 and maybe get the Bruckner on iPlayer tomorrow. one of the more digestible Bruckner symphonies.

Whose conductor?

If you mean who's the conductor it was Belohlavek and the pianist was Leif Ove Andsnes. I only heard the concerto which sounded good to me.

Any comments on the Bruckner?

So apart from a little trumpet graunch in the scherzo, what did you not like in the Bruckner?

It is a very tiring work for the brass choir and the odd flip is an occasional occurance. I was only half listening last night, but I have recorded it for future reference, so do tell us what was not right for you.

Much less depth of string tone, particularly cellos / violas than I always feel Bruckner demands?
