I did so because what I heard sounded good, and I'll try to listen to it again. I thought other MBers might like to try it, or comment if they have other versions of Mahler 8 by Rattle or others. Maybe it sounded good to me simply because I really like the last 10-15 minutes, and it had nothing to do with Rattle or the BPO's contribution.
I'm not forcing anyone to respond, but if anyone thinks it might be worthwhile for them to listen to that performance while they still have a chance, I hope I've done them some good.
