Has anyone else watched the recent Wigmore Hall Live edition In memory of Marcel Proust? I thought this was a fascinating programme, brilliantly executed. He is such a creative artist.

No - but heard and saw him perform Goldberg Variations in Southampton. He's a very talented and interesting artist.

Thanks for making me aware of this, and I’m listening to the Schubert now. I’ve been following Kalesnikov for a while, ever since hearing him play a Chopin sonata. I can already hear in the Schubert the distinctive Kalesnikov sound and sweet, joyful way of presenting the music.
