To answer my own question- I think it’s an Apollo - distinctive red spots on underwings. Likes mountainous habitats - sadly a threatened species and the focus of a big pan European project.
Best interval feature in years (for butterfly lovers. )

That was my thought - there aren't any others that look similar.
I thoroughly enjoyed the sequence; drones have made aerial photography a real pleasure to watch and all credit to the work that went into creating the butterfly's journey. Something a bit different from a standard tourist board travelogue perhaps - an endorheic lake and prehistoric pile dwellings...
I wondered why "Baden bei Wien" became "Great Spa Towns of Europe" in the subtitles.
A very pleasant interlude, accompanied by the last slice of Christmas cake(gluten free offerings almost non-existent this year) and a small glass of Sauternes - and I even managed to identify 2 of the accompanying music pieces.

That would explain the title that appeared on screen with the opening shots of the glasshouse

Yes I missed that bit ! Will watch again on iPlayer.
A glass of Sauternes - now that’s civilised . Sadly still shaking off last night’s fizz….and slightly rainsoaked impromptu barbecue .
                  What weird times !

Some form of "pudding wine" is a must have for Christmas, and the fact it comes usually as half bottles is good now that it's only me to drink it. I have to say this year's, from Aldi, is very good.

                          Oh, no doubt about that.

I revisited the two FWM NY concerts several years after and found much to enjoy.

I have to grit my teeth through the Radetsky March - though DB conducted the audience effectively - and I noticed someone from the audience sneaking out as it began....

Very poor clapping as Petroc said on R3 off the beat. I was rather surprised that PT said Strauss wrote the Blue Danube to cheer up the nation after Prussia defeated Australia in the Seven Years War !

The only conductor who I felt inhibited them was Harnoncourt, but others may disagree.
Maybe but they are different - Muti last year was terrific compared to his own earlier outings . Carlos Kleiber was amazing .

A bit of a shame FWM again - not very exciting .
