Somewhat different this year as might be expected, but still much 'live' ( recorded earlier) content. So far(at 8-30) the highlight for me has been 7pm Telemann from Cologne - glorious singing. Currently enjoying JSB Christmas Oratorio - singing along, although my very old score(two shillings Novello) is in English... The bells(carillon type) at the church weren't silenced so there were some unscored additions at the close of Day One.

It's that time again. I hadn't looked (or thought!) ahead so didn't realise until yesterday. Good timing for me though, as I had my booster yesterday (finally, whole other story) my arm is not much use currently and disrupted my sleep, and I'm feeling more than a little arthritic so a day indoors in the warm listening to the radio appeals. The details for 16-00 through to close of play are sketchy, I assume due to Covid caused uncertainty but I shall be interested to see if the Stuttgart slot really is "Scandinavian Christmas music". Perhaps as the previous hour is Bach from Berlin they didn't feel limited to German repertoire?

Yes, listening to the Moscow Synodal Choir now - I just love the sound of a good Russian choir (especially when they hold on to a final chord for ever...).

Bizarrely, both of the next two programmes (Vox Clamantis from Tallinn and MDR Radio Chorus from Leipzig) feature Pärt's Seven Magnificat Antiphons.

It would seem the concert we are getting isn't what was originally planned, hence the duplication.
