Gramophone - Orchestra of the Year

I don't think I've seen a mention of this anywhere on the forum. As a Gramophone subscriber, I recently had an email announcing the "Orchestra of the Year " festival - which is a 10 day series of full-length concerts on-line - available through Youtube, and Facebook. I just remembered about this today, and I have just accessed a concert of the Deutsches-Symphonie Orchester - Berlin. I have to say this is pretty impressive, and for anyone seeking an alternative to the Proms (Hollywood and all) it's worth looking through the programmes. Each concert will only be up there for 23 hours.

The Orchestra of the Year concept doesn’t appeal at all though, a typically vapid contemporary sort of non-idea.
