Something extraordinary but used as a gap-filler following to day's afternoon concert by the RTESO, an aria sung by Barry Banks.
Perhaps only for lovers of tenors in altissimus but I thought exceptionally fine singing in rarely performed repertoire and well worth a listen, Balfe's Falstaff (me neither).

I'm afraid I only know Come into the Garden, Maud. A crowd pleaser these days, if for all the wrong reasons.

Thanks for that, gradus. The very thought of top Cs makes my eyes water! But a very fine voice, I agree.
