Favorite Jordi Savall albums would be a nice thread. One would have to include the booklets in the discussion since they are extensively interesting, a model for the rest of the industry.
I haven’t tried to stream a Savall album on Qobuz. Are the booklets available?

I haven’t tried to stream a Savall album on Qobuz. Are the booklets available?

The España Eterna 11CD Warner Classics box is an obvious bargain and convenient way of acquiring a plentiful selection of Savall's output. I got it for only £17.99 when it came out a year ago from the now defunct MDT (maybe that helped them go defunct). No song texts! I took the challenge and spent quite a bit of time them tracking down online.

The thread has hardly started. Did you enjoy the concert? I admire Jordi Savall’s ‘concept concerts’ but I can’t say I (ed.) always enjoy those. This was a sheer pleasure. I had to leave the radio during (some of ) the second half. I’ll listen to it again. I definitely enjoy the early works much more though.

Take no notice of those big names. They can’t help stumbling into anywhere and everywhere whether they are welcome or not.

I’m guessing that this features discs not released on either Glossa or Alia Vox?

I'm loving the concert, just got to the Folia.

I must have many versions of Canarios in my collection....I even have a stab at it myself. I loved the little Brexit dig in the first half, about celebrating musical Europe in the heart of Westminster, whic was well applauded )

I seem to have a fair bit of Jordi Savall - the 8-disc Hesperion XX set on Virgin, 4 discs of The Celtic Viol with Andrew Lawrence King, his Granada 1013-1502 concept album, his CD/DVD of Charpentier from Versailles, and (see the first half of the concert) his disc of Tobias Hume's Musicall Humours.
