Perhaps it would have worked at that tempo in the sort of instrument it was written for?

Didn't realise it was on until I caught the end of the encore! A must listen recital for any Schumannophile as Davidsbündlertänze is rarely performed. Having missed it though encouraged an hour in the company of RS courtesy of Horowitz and Spotify, sublime performances but the Horowitz piano didn't sound too good on the car speakers.
