Can any messageboarder recommend any of this afternoon's fare to me, to expand my musical horizons
I would copy the list of works here but I can only find it in my copy of RT, nowhere online
anyway there's some Fitkin, Pulp/Dudley, Alvarez, Muhly, Nunn, Miranda, Poppy and (Edward) Williams
what should I listen out for?

nice to see a good selection of UK based and neglected composers

Edward Williams is a national treasure, a really wonderful man and a great innovator , he composed the music for "Life on Earth" and some great film scores

needless to say things weren't in that order as it turned out

for the most part I really enjoyed that. I think the more un-worldly the soundscape and the less I recognised conventional instruments, the more I liked it. So the Williams, Fitkin and Miranda came out tops for me. The Williams especially with the ghostly voice of Sir David fading in and out was wonderfully mysterious. I was expecting it all to be more difficult and wacky so a pleasant surprise.
