Having not heard the sym for a while I was bowled over by the recording by the above forces played this afternoon. I gather it was recently recorded but hadn't come across it before. If it's new to you too, try and hear it.

Incidentally - and with apologies for veering off-topic so early into the Thread - the Ulster Orchestra/Ville Matvejeff performance of the Sibelius Seventh earlier in the programme is pretty damn fine, too (with, amongst other delights, some particularly fine Timpaning).[FONT=Comic Sans MS][I][B]Numquam Satis![/B][/I][/FONT]
