RAF Central Band from the QEH 25/6/11

I was pleased to hear Britain's finest military band giving a live concert on Radio3 this afternoon, and I thought they sounded very good indeed, playing an interesting programme of light music for this combination. There's no doubt that some forces bands are not of the highest standard musically, but when one hears a really good one, such as this, I think it shows that there are many fine musicians among the armed services, particularly the RAF.

I did'nt know anything bout this! Goodness!! How shortsighted of me not to have known. I see that they have The Cory Band(current World Champions), on R3 this afternoon. I think I will catch that on iplayer too! What a combination!
