Would my post of the Edinburgh Festival opening concert with the RSNO and Mariinsky Orchestra suffice?

Stayed with the Enigma until Nimrod. Yuk. slow and slushy, as Andrew Clements said in the Guardian, " too manicured and self-consciously shaped". Pity the LSO couldn't match the greatest recording of the work by the same orchestra released almost 60 years ago, under Pierre Monteux. I don't think I can tolerate Rattle's interpretations of the great English composers. he can do what he wants with the late 20th and 21st century "avant garde" "atonal" composers
