His latest full-length show, Content Provider, has recently had very good reviews in at least some of the nationals.

Way off topic now, but there we are.

the older of my lads is a huge Stewart Lee fan. He went to see a show previewing the content for Content Provider, ( !!), and the show was of Ken Dodd proportions, I think running to something like 4 hours. Epic, at any rate.

His RFH shows are usually of Wagnerian proportions. With no support act. Extraordinary energy.

People will likely have seen or read something by Stewart Lee, even if the don't recognise his name or face. a very fine comedy writer.

I've seen him perform in a pub in Galway, which was rather good.

No issues with that. It was the fact that a rather off-colour 'joke' was made at the expense of said very fine artist that led to the unfortunate verbal fisticuffs, for my part in which I apologise!

I don't know but, since we're all in different places to being with, it seems unlikely that we could all be going the same way, forward or otherwise - but let's go outside the box, examine the view and apply some blue sky thinking to the matter of where we should or could go (not that there's much blue sky around here right now).

Well said. Shame the thread got derailed by neurotic responses to a couple of innocuous posts. For my 'part' in it (a post) I’ve already expressed my regret.
