I thought it worth mentioning that Steven Osborne is giving two noteworthy recitals in this years Bath Festival

16th May
Rachmaninov: Études-tableaux
Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition

24th May
Messiaen: Vingt Regards sur l'Enfant-Jesus

(I heard Steven Osborne perform the Messiaen some years ago in the Cheltenham Pittville Pump Rooms on a beautiful balmy, April evening. It was one of the most memorable concerts I have ever attended.)

He is one of the pianists that I would I always try to get to hear, an exceptional artist and his recital choices are very appealing.

This would be a great opportunity to hear these works, live, as I have the recordings! :)
