RVW, arr Payne, Aon3, 7 March

A most compelling premiere performance of RVW's Three Nocturnes, arr Payne, by Roderick Williams - splendid articulation, too, of the Walt Whitman text - BBCSO/Martyn Brabbins and its a pleasure to hear that a CD will soon be released. Include me in!

Me too! What a splendid discovery. I had an email the other day to say that the CD is due from Albion later this year.

The central Nocturne, Roderick Williams has recorded before with Hickox, coupled with the 6th & 8th symphonies on Chandos. It is a wonderful and captivating setting.
