    I agree that there are many works for trumpet, both classical and modernist in style.

    My point was: How many of these works would attract an audience, even allowing for Ms Balsom's popularity?

      That may well explain also why her latest recording was of a number of transcriptions and arrangements of Handel and Purcell with the EC and Pinnock - gorgeous record though !
