( quite enjoying the interval Quartet, and the snippets of the Kyrie Were enough to make me listen again).I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Extraordinary concert though....
With a challenging, often relentless, intensity of mood and sound. Go willingly into i-personal immersion if you didn't tonight...Last edited by jayne lee wilson; 06-10-15, 21:14.

I thought the Concerto was terrific, bar a moment at the start of the second movement which sounded too much like Sparks for comfort !
The Symphony is new to me. Definitely one to return to. First movement just seemed to outstay its welcome a minute or two, but some interesting ideas, and excellent singing all round.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Good as it was to hear the Copernican again, I would have preferred the 1st Symphony to have had another hearing. It's less than 18 minutes long, so surely it could have been included in place of Old Polish Music, which is heard rather more often. Although the 1st Symphony can be found on YouTube, the audio is only 96kbps AAC-LC.
