    Early Music Help, please.

Whilst cleaning the kitchen, I had R3 on and was listening to a wonderful choral work written in the 1700s, clearly based entirely on Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Mopping the floor, I missed the details at the end of the work! About 10.55 am. Anyone know what the piece was, and who were the performers/recording?

    Which day?

Sounds like you were swept away by it.

Annoying isn't it? Perhaps I-player can help?

Corrette: Laudate Dominum according to the play list. (Why did no-one else think of that. )

          Was it:

          Michel Corrette

          Laudate Dominum

          Ensemble: Le Parlement de Musique.
          Choir: Maîtrise de Bretagne.

          Denoye - Corrette d'apres Vivaldi.
          Ambronay.

I guess no-one on this forum has any faith in R3 play lists any more!

                      Very annoying!

I was hoping for a quick fix, rather than going to iPlayer.

Someone who knows this genre must've been listening, and can help!

It had to be today. If you are anything like me Sunday is the only day you get the time to clean the kitchen!

Anyway, looks as if DP and FF have supplied the answer and you might have inspired others to give it a listen.

It used to be Saturday, but since retiring, I'm too busy until Sunday

DP and FF have others to look after the kitchen, and so have time to answer your questions.

Perhaps we should start a Sunday morning 'Ask Auntie and Uncle ...'?
