    Britten Sinfonia / Hewitt Po3 6 Apr

Did anyone listen to this delightful Po3? To me Angela H played the Bach and Mozart concertos with perfect clarity, flexibility and effortless and instinctive phrasing to die for. Her Fazioli is very un-Steinway and can produce a vast range of gorgeous colours. I thought it might sound a bit big, but it didn't. Marvellous stuff.

Dmitri Sitkovetsky's arrangement of the Goldbergs for strings was new to me. I thought it was very good indeed, terribly difficult and played stunningly by Thomas Gould (violin/director) et al. And there was Stravinsky's delightful concerto for orchestra.

The most enjoyable Po3 I've heard for ages.

Thanks for the recommendation, Ossie. Sounds like my cuppa.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
