The microphone(s) seemed to have been badly placed, I hear distinct "thumps" during the Piano Concerto. The Berlioz was also as exciting as a wet-weekend in Troon.

In the hall I wasn't aware of thumps. THe pianist was good, the work less so. The conductor seemed to be taking cues from the pianist, rather than the other way round. The Berlioz had its moments. But I did like the Faure. -
