Very good and powerful performance, I thought - a rather too wobbly-fruity 'Angel' (Anna Larsson) the only drawback, for me... Some really cracking stuff (towards the end especially) from the tenor (Peter Hoare - never heard of him, someone to watch), good bass and choir & orchestra really delivering the goods under Mark Wigglesworth. Class

Peter Hoare sings quite regularly with WNO.It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
