Richard - sounds like your App, whatever it is and whoever makes it, is geoblocking all listen again BBC streams. As far as I know, this geoblocking would not be present if you use a normal browser.

OK, that worked, and I've listened to a few concerts. I have another question. Does the i player broadcast only in a low bit rate in the U.K.? My DAC doesn't display the bit rate played but judging from the poor quality sound I would guess it is 64 or 128 bps. I find it fatiguing to listen to after an hour or so and don't think that I will be doing much more of it.
