A knockout performance by three very fine singers, a great orchestra and conductor. Was this the end of a complete concert performance?

She does look like she and her husband share the same hair stylist.

i agree about the hair, not that such things often occur to me (my daughters and Mrs CS are much more observant/opinionated/appreciative or condemning).

Maddalena K was largely an unknown quantity to me - until I got a stalls seat (level with the usual cello position) at the BPO St Matthew Prom. I'm now a fan - great voice, good interpretation. Must follow up more of her recordings (maybe even sample the Digital Concert Hall?).

When I saw her first she was singing Bach cantatas with JEG and co in St David's Cathedral during the Bach pilgrimage. Black outfit, hair swept back in tight bun.
A variety of styles on her various CDs, these 2 of my favourites (the CDs that is), both highly recommended - Czech love songs, baroque arias

                  Hiya Richard,

Magdalena Kozena is an excellent singer who I much admire. She sings French repertoire especially well. Her English is perfect and I know she sings in Russian too. Have you seen this recent interview on Musicweb-International. She mentions her love of the Baroque:
