鈴木雅明 conducting Stravinsky's Punch and Judy show.

From today's Afternoon on 3 online schedule:

    Igor Stravinsky Pulcinella - suite

Orchestra: Radio Kamer Filharmonie. Conductor: 鈴木雅明.
Good to find him doing something other than playing the harpsichord or directing Bach.

I wonder if I chose the wrong user name when I joined the forum?

(Was it really Suzuki, of Bach and harpsichord renown?)

We’ll find 内田光子 playing Schubert next.

Something I would probably try to avoid hearing, if her boxed set of the same is anything to go by. I took particular umbrage at her way with D960. Not that that should in any way put others off. To make matters worse, I accidentally ordered 2 copies of the set a few years ago. I would take them to a charity shop but it would only make me feel guilty for potentially inflicting them on some unwary souls. (Stands by for incoming.)

Mr 鈴木雅明's name means Bell-wood (Suzuki) Elegant-Brightness (Masaaki)

Ms 内田光子 translates as In a Rice Field a Bright Child

            -or words to that effect.

As long as it's not 肏ing 郎朗 ...

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
