    I am not sure. Certainly a direct and personal involvement with the sacred events had been there for a while in settings of vernacular texts.

      Sorry Jean, so do I. Hence the inverted commas. I was toying with 'forward looking' but that is equally silly as no composer divines what is to come. 'Ground-breaking'? 'Innovative'? Nope. There isn't one!
