    On the contrary, in their performances of, for example, early Tudor repertoire, the Tallis Scholars do sing pieces up a minor third, as the Clerkes used to. Their latest recording of Taverner does exactly that. The Sixteen also used to adopt this pitch standard (or perhaps up a tone rather than a minor third), although they don't sing so much of that repertoire these days.
