    EMS Sunday 13th Oct 2pm

I know we're all a bit disheartened, but the show must go on, and hence:

    Greek Myths
Lucie Skeaping introduces a diverse selection of early music inspired by Greek mythology.

    (It's a repeat.)

Despite the sadness of losing CB, it is great we still have Lucie, a fine presenter. Let's hope the powers that be allow her to continue in the best traditions of EMS...maybe by commissioning a new programme each Sunday?

Sorry, Dovers. Hope you don't mind my posting this up.

Thank you, ardcarp for waking us up from the gloom. Here is a bit more additional information about the programme.

…including works by Monteverdi, Handel, Purcell, Cavalli, Rameau and Gluck.
Lucie Skeaping introduces a diverse selection of early music inspired by Greek mythology.

Lucie already has a new programme lined up for next week. Not all is lost.
Lucie Skeaping presents a profile of the extraordinary young Dutch recorder player, equally at home in early and contemporary repertoire. With music by Bach, Blow, Handel and Wassenaer, recorded at this year's Ryedale Festival and featuring the harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani
Lucie Skeaping presents a profile of young Dutch recorder player Erik Bosgraaf.

[ed] Just seen the small print. Oh, Goodness, Not in the least. What nonsense!!

This should be a treat as Mahan Esfahani is a very gifted player and amiable advocate of his instrument. I enjoyed the Greek Myths Show a lot. I always discover new pieces and composers in shows like this which feature themed anthologies. This is what Radio 3 should be about: educating in an entertaining manner without dumbing down. Let's all get behind Lucie and cherish and guard this remaining show jealously. If Lucie is poached it really would be the end I feel. :(
