Christophe Rousset on "Le Jardin des Critiques de Disques" re: Scarlatti sonatas

Attention French-speaking early music lovers: a very good episode of the France-Musique 'blind tasting' CD review programme 'Le Jardin des Critiques'. Christophe Rousset is one of the three critics comparing and analysing recordings on harpsichord of Scarlatti's sonatas.

Many thanks for this : I am an unconditional admirer of Rousset, and Scarlatti is important for me. I shall listen with interest ( I suspect I already possess all and every available serious recording of Scarlatti - but still nice to hear Rousset on this. Why doesn't he do an intégrale??? )

Yes, thanks, Caliban. I really should tune in to France Musique more often - I mostly listen to it in the car when I am going to and from appointments, but obviously never catch 'Le Jardin des Critiques'. I will definitely listen to this one. I greedily snap up any new recording of Rousset when it emerges - I think even he has surpassed himself with his latest two disc set of Duphly. I have long wanted to hear him play these pieces and the recording does not disappoint. The playing, the instrument and the recording quality is marvellous. Just a pity he didn't do all of Duphly - it wouldn't be such as a daunting task as the Scarlatti, Vinteuil!
