I don't know if Jeggers has taken The Monteverdi Choir down the Byrd/Tallis route before. At the Spitalfields Festival (live BBC Radio 3 Monday) he nudged into the territory occupied by choirs who specialise in that stuff. I didn't know what to expect, but I was quite impressed. There is a tendency, especially for the OVPP groups, to sing everything at he same speed and with unvarying dynamic. JEG was really trying to do something expressive (and how good to hear the Robert Whyte Lamentations a 6) which might not be to everyone's taste, but it was to mine.
