And Ravel, and De Falla, IIRC - an early example of a phenomenon familiar today: a performer equally at home exploring and presenting unfamiliar repertoire, both old and new.

... as the wiki article I included in #300 above mentions :

" He gave the premieres of works by Ravel, Debussy, Satie, Falla and Albéniz. He was the piano teacher of the composer Francis Poulenc and the pianists Marcelle Meyer, Joaquín Nin-Culmell and Léo-Pol Morin..."

Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714-1788) Concerto for harpsichord, fortepiano and orchestra (Wq.47) in E flat major
Michel Eberth (harpsichord), Wolfgang Brunner (pianoforte), Slovenicum Chamber Orchestra, Uros Lajovic (conductor)
Interesting piece, but the orchestra overwhelms the sound of these solo instruments.

Surely, these days, there are some here who would prefer this work to be performed with a Steinway and a Bösendorfer as the solo instruments?

I needed a bit of pianofortitude to do the plucking!

I notice the credit is to a pianoforte - but it did sound to me like a fortepiano.
