              Snap!!

As far as I am concerned, the more Rameau, the better but it does make you wonder how they (the programmers) work. The playlist was left to TTN so you could say that there is some coordination…

Ah - yes, I heard the end of that and the announcer said it could be heard again on TTN at some point quite soon, I'd forgotten that.

                    Handel's Alessandro: Wednesday 1 July

Has anyone listened to this? I have not listened it through but there are some superb singings. Julia Lezhneva alone is almost worth listening. Armonia Atenea is excellent, too. I personally wouldn’t seek out for the stage production though.

I haven't listened at all yet - but I am just catching up with Hasse's Leucippo

Unique performances with BBC Orchestras, Choirs and other great orchestras

(Don't miss it - there's only 19 hours left!) and I see that the wonderful Vasily Khoroshev is singing in both.

I don’t find Caldara’s opera arias terribly interesting but very much enjoy his sacred vocal works.

In the unlikely event of anyone slightly interested in Caldara in tomorrow’s Proms Saturday Matinee (), this TTN may be a good reference point.
