    CD Review & EMS 27/28. 1

    CD Review
No playlist yet but this looks good (after BaL)
Andrew talks to Simon Heighes about new releases of music by Telemann, Vivaldi and Bach

    EMS: Sunday
    This looks most interesting.
Lucie Skeaping with music by 17th-century composers Tarquinio Merula and Marco Uccellini.

Lucie Skeaping introduces music by two less well-known composers of the 17th century: Tarquinio Merula and Marco Uccellini. Both Italian and violinists, they were also at the forefront of compositional developments, and new violin techniques. Music in the programme includes some of their canzonas and sonatas performed by the ensemble La Ciaconna from a concert they gave in 2011 in Geneva, and also repertoire from recordings by Ensemble Fitzwilliam, Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and Romanesca.

Here we go! Can we correct that to "Andrew keeps interrupting a genuine specialist who could handle the review much more informatively on his own." The BBC really is obsessed by chatter!

      CD Review tomorrow 10.40.
      Here goes:

John Milton and Martin Peerson, Gottfried Finger, and Locke,
plus Telemann, JS & CPE Bach, and Vivaldi.

I really don’t think it is necessary to include full track lists of all CDs. It makes the page terribly cumbersome and besides, if you miss the announcement, you (I) can’t tell what you are (I am) listening. Most annoying (I’ve sent an email to the programme).

I don’t think Andrew is all that bad.
