Just heard the 'Byrd and his students' programme. Lovely. Very interesting to compare The Tallis Scholars with The Cardinall's Musick...vastly different approach. But for me the two Philips motets sung by TCC (Richard Marlow) were the best. Apart, that is, from Ye Sacred Muses sung by Mr Blaise. Be prepared to shed a tear if you LA
