I forgot to say, thank you for the link. I had stopped looking for it in the Guardian. Very sad indeed.

Thanks. I haven't seen anything in the Telegraph either. Those two are the ones I regularly look at. I realise now, having read the thread in 'Performance,' that there have been a number of obits and tributes elsewhere. Anyway, I add my feelings of sadness at this fine singer's loss.
