the EM News yet again interrupted the program - at least shorter than last week and moved a little nearer its due place ie after the end of the program. Whose idea was this and why in such a crass method?

In principle, it’s not a terrible idea but the camp children’s-tv tone is cloth-eared and jarring to say the least. I wonder how whateverhisnameis got the gig (A similar children’s-tv presenter soundalike popped up with vacuous proms highlights in odd places during the summer )
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Yes that's part of the trouble...and awful in today's EMS. If they must do it, couldn't the main presenter (Lucy or Hannah) interpolate the info at a suitable point in the programme (if there is one) ?
