I think we all got the same reply. What a surprise.

A large part of the Fayrfax programme "promoted" the newly released "Music for Tudor Kings and Queens" - which, in my case, did result in a CD sale

I hope it's enjoyable AD! They were my least favourite grpoup (using too much 'full-voice', for the bits we heard anyway) and I gather there is some connection between them and Prof Magnus. No-one will ever know, of course, the sound of a late 15th century choir. Were it possible, it could come as quite a shock in terms of voice-produccion, blend and even tuning. There was some talk of Fayrfax's ghost on the programme, so........

I was about to make the same point, once a commercial entity feels it is an unassailable 'monopoly' customer relations are merely box ticking so that failings are never brought to light until catastrophic failure occurs (eg Grenville) - as for speech over music I suspect it is a lost cause - even some news items are now accompanied by music in an attempt to arouse emotions.

I've duly had my auto-reply, as expected. It may be a lost cause but that doesn't stop me making my views known - in the same way I still turn out and vote even though in this constituency and with FPTP that is indeed a lost cause - but at least I can say, and be recorded, "not in my name"!

The auto-reply is probably all that any of us will receive; it ticks the box for "contact responded to" and so can now be ignored.

I don’t actually care if I don’t receive a specific response, as long as the issue raised is addressed. The last time I wrote to the BBC about a presentation issue (before this “fade’n’chat” thing) was the stupidly prominent new ‘watermark’ logo at the top left of the screen in BBC Four broadcasts following a re-design earlier this year. The logo has duly been made more transparent which was one of my suggestions. Never heard back from them but that’s fine.

Let’s see if EMS returns to production practices which respect the music & attentive listeners.

The Ensemble Pro Victoria Fayrfax CD is listenable, but they're not a patch on The Cardinall's Musick. Still, beggars can't be choosers and Fayrfax CDs are thin on the ground.
One minor complaint, I found the sopranos / altos very noticable & a tad distracting.
