A real "treat" coming up on the 19th of January 2025... a repeat of "On Bach's Farm" - ei ei oh NO!!!!!!!!!!

With 20+ years of EMS to call upon - why pick this one?

I'd rather hear MS playing his Baroque violin, ideally with Rachel Podger at the Wigmore Hall in a restored Lunchtime Concert.

Drat - I've just realised that's today's EMS off the menu, and I don't especially want to hear the CE again, so down to just one programme's worth(PP) of listening - on the one day* of the week I reckon to make time to listen to R3.

Might give it another go - I heard a few extracts, which I enjoyed, while getting tea ready.

Listened in the car this evening. I enjoyed the music but was a bit confused as to how 'autumn' from Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons' fitted into a programme about Bach. I was clearly not paying enough attention....

Tenuous indeed - could "chartered accountants" replace "farmers"?
"... what about farmers?... The first movement of Vivaldi's Autumn captures them at play."

I enjoyed the music, less keen on the bits in between. Still, it's a vast improvement over "Bach after the Beep" and the Benevoli filler at the end was good.

Yes I remember the music was fine, but I just wasn't in the mood yesterday to cope with the "bits in between".
