    Louis-Gabriel Guillemain: EMS 19May

A profile of the 18thC French violinist and composer Louis-Gabriel Guillemain, who served King Louis XV, becoming one of the most highly paid musicians at court. His private life was a troubled one, though - a heavy drinker and often in debt, it's thought that he committed suicide at the age of 65.
A profile of 18th-century French violinist and composer Louis-Gabriel Guillemain.

This should be interesting...didn't know there was enough of his repertoire in the catalogue to make up a full programme.

Just listening to this...some extraordinary music. I was blown away by the Caprice for solo violin.

Well, you’d better update your collection

I very much enjoyed the programme. Yes, I thought Caprice for solo violin Op.18 was extraordinary.

      If anyone is feeling more-ish:
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Yes, just saw all those delectable discs....at present I only have one piece, I think, recorded long ago by Musica Antiqua Koln. How lucky we are to live in such fruitful times. I really want to get that Hazelzet CD.
