In my opinion, I think he has done some excellent work with the AAM, not least the Handel series for Harmonia Mundi. But I would like to think that a new director, when found, might do less of the baroque war horses and go back to the earlier days of the AAM and dig out some much more unknown repertoire. I guess that isn't so commercially viable, but I for one would love to hear more rarities - some symphonies by the wonderful William Herschel, for example.
