It almost goes without saying when it comes to a Telemann concert; most enjoyable. Concerto for Recorder and Flute is one of my very favourite. I would love to hear a repeat of the late night Baroque Prom back in 2009 (I think) when this work was performed (yes, a recorder at RAH) by Jean-Christophe Spinosi and Ensemble Matheus.

Is it time to stop saying that Teleman is an under rated Composer? I have enjoyed every work by him that I have encountered

I am thoroughly enjoying working my way through the 30 CD 'Telemann Masterworks' box from Sony - excellent recordings from top-notch performers. I would recommend it to any fan of Telemann.

I doubt if that will ever happen. For many classical music listeners who never step into the pre Mozart era, enjoyable music is by definition not worth paying serious attention.

I have also been enjoying that box as recommended on the Bargains thread recently from Amamzon.de. Playing right at the moment - the Sonate Methodiche.
