        They are a fabulous group; I have all of their recordings, my favourite being their John Sheppard disc.

          Agreed, and I too - but I heard some of this broadcast and was rather dismayed by what sounded to me like some approximate tuning....

            Agreed, and I too - but I heard some of this broadcast and was rather dismayed by what sounded to me like some approximate tuning...
            Haven't heard it yet, but IMO The Wigmore is an unforgiving place for singers.

                  Caught some of the repeat without realising what it was, and again was disappointed with some of the tuning - wondered what choir it was - then found my impression from Monday confirmed when I heard the announcement

                  I guess one has become too used to the groomed and air-brushed studio performances that grace their recordings - and the warts-and-all reality gets some getting used to...

                    Although there was some tuning issues, hear and there, it didn't dispel my enjoyment.
