    New presenter on TEMS?

It looks as if Fiona Talkington will be presenting next week's programme. I actually have some time for her because she has specialist music interests in which she's very good. But I wonder what this move (if it's not a one-off) means? Elin Manahan Thomas obviously has a singing career which might mean she wants to give more time to that (as Andrew Manze did after a couple of years).

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Oh no: we're not getting news bulletins here as well, are we?

(And thanks for the [on] edit after my LUX posting the other day, too!)

And Elin MT is, I think, EML, not TEMS. So all round disinformation

I wasn't, fortunately, because (as ff points out) it's still wrong!

ff having committed the crime in the first place, now admits guilt: mea culpa &c.

Are you talking about this thread, or my post #10 on the The New Radio 3 Forum thread, which is where the correction/amendment is that ardcarp and I were referring to? We might still benefit from your wisdom there!

Are we getting confused here, or just some of us? I thought we were talking about this thread and that I'd inadvertently written 'News' for 'New'

Indeed. But I also thanked ardcarp for his correction/amendment to my probably dodgy Latin on the other thread, and that's where I think he was hoping he had got it right if jean was on the lookout!
Sorry to have gone off topic!

                        This still says:
Elin Manahan Thomas introduces a concert of music by Telemann, Hasse, Philidor and Boismortier recorded at the Warsaw International Summer Academy of Early Music featuring soloists Simon Standage, Frank de Bruine and Daniël Brüggen

or have I got it wrong again or is it after this when the presenter changes?
[ed.] or is it EMS that is the subject?
Fiona Talkington profiles the choir Exaudi and talks to director James Weeks.

Please Host, can you correct the date of this thread? It should be for tomorrow.

I see - I didn't get the reference or see the other post (still haven't!)

The thread is beginning to sound like an overheard conversation in a Home for the Genteel Retired. Anyway I've changed the Scherzi Musicali date to Sunday 1st October. Hope that's right!

Because I didn't have the thread title wrong (except the unwanted 's'): I had it right. Fiona Talkington is presenting TEMS next week:

But EMT was a red herring. Can we take if from there and forget Early Music Late?
