So glad they included Alfred Deller. OK he may sound 'dated' to some ears, but IMO he got right into the spirit of these songs, and delivered them with real understanding. Lovely programme.

I just wondered at Lucy's choice of words when she listed among Campion's accomplishments "professional scientist". Agreed, he had a degree in medicine, but I don't think the word 'scientist' was coined until much later...probably 200 years later.
