Thanks for the link, dovers. Just listened to the whole thing. Lovely programme. Norway, as does Iceland, punches above its weight musically. One wonders how so small a country (in terms of population) can foster such a wealth of music and musicians. I find it especially amazing as during my annual pilgrimage there (my sister lives near Oslo) I tend to meet up with outdoor types for whom water sports in summer, skiing in winter, cabins in the mountains and all that seem their chief preoccupations. The arts seem unlikely for them, so there must be a small but intensely cultural hive somewhere.
BTW, what a lovely sop soloist in Dowland's Sorrow, StayLast edited by ardcarp; 09-10-15, 20:59.
