This looks a good Early Music Show - Arte dei Suonatori, 5pm 2nd March 2025.
It looks to be extracts from this concert.
From the programe, this included:
JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH Orchestral Suite no. 3 i D-dur • in D major (BWV 1068 version for strings)
JOHANN GOTTLIEB GOLDBERG Harpsichord Concerto in d minor
GEORG PHILIPP TELEMANN Concerto alla Polonese in G major (TWV 43:G7)
JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH Harpsichord Concerto in d minor (BWV 1052)
"J.S. Bach spent almost thirty years living in Leipzig, Sachsen, a country ruled by Friedrich August I and his son, who were also kings of Poland. This period of close Poland-Sachsen relations left a significant mark on Bach’s music. Already at the age often, Goldberg, born in Gdansk, Poland, travelled to Leipzig, where he studied with J.S. Bach and his eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach. The concerto by Goldberg included in this programme is notable for being one of the longest concertos of its time. The last movement clearly brings to mind the polonaise – the most popular and recognizable Polish dance of the 18th century. Telemann’s ability to integrate various national styles is showed in Concerto alla Polonese, which explicitly refers to Polish musical elements."
"Arte dei Suonatori, the most successful Polish baroque ensemble on the contemporary international music scene, was founded by violinists Ewa and Arek Golinski. In the 2023/2024 season, the ensemble celebrates its 30th anniversary. It has released 18 CDs and collaborated with many prominent musicians of the early music scene. For over three years, it has enjoyed a particularly fruitful and inspiring collaboration with harpsichordist and conductor Marcin Świątkiewicz, one of the most renowned Polish harpsichordists specialising in improvisation. He plays as a soloist with Brecon Baroque, Capella Cracoviensis and Arte dei Suonatori, among others. Świątkiewicz teaches at the Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland."
