Just the thing for a gloomy day, he is such a sunny character - and I think a bit mischievous. He reminds me a little of the gnomes in the Rien Poortvliet books that Dutch relatives gave to my children.

Ha ha, yes, a good description ! Such a likeable performer. It was interesting to hear how he got his orchestra together with so many British period players at the start. The Leonhardt story was good, too. I have many of his recordings, particular favourites are the Handel and Haydn organ concertos.
